- sciargnóon : Olina grass, typical of high mountain slopes ;

- sciargnóon = I went to go cut the grass Olina, that is the grass that grows on the high and steep mountain slopes in places where it is impossible for the grazing of domestic animals. There are procured in this way, the common, fodder (very poor indeed) that replenished the reserves of hay cut in the meadows of private property.

The cut

dol sciargnóon could happen only after the appropriate notice by the municipality, it affects all households and occupied at least ten to fifteen days of August. Two or three family members were moving on the high slopes with everything you need, and remained there for several days camped out in caves or tents. To cut the grass they used the special ranźìin; the slope was cut from top to bottom, to avoid the risk of dangerous slips, and the grass was cut immediately pushed down over the still to be cut, again to avoid danger.

grass clippings, including several families, had gathered all in one big pile (Ol ago on MUC) and discharge downstream along the grassy dangerous chutes called vazzööl and, from the late nineteenth century, sometimes with rudimentary cable car. This work was extremely dangerous because the steep slopes of cuttings were transformed into real slides and many were the victims of this work.

- Pià Ol sciargnóon = the first day that the cut of this forage was allowed, already the hour before dawn, the women were in place precisely to Pià = book, with small sfalciature, grass cutting clearings or in the various ledges, in these circumstances were enough easy issues and disputes that were resolved, however, usually without consequences.
